Re: Tournoi par Equipes 6
About the painting/basing penalties - I am sure we can work out a solution for this by providing some painted models depending on what you need. I am willing to help in this regard.

Penalties paint will not be huge, but still not come with a grey army.

We'll try our best, but there will be atleast one army with only like 50% painted =/

Re: Tournoi par Equipes 6
Sorry for doublepost but since we have next week our teammeeting, I wanted to ask, if someone could explain me, how the parringsystem will work?
1. Every team chooses one of there own army and presents it to the opponent team
2. Every Team chooses 2 of there own armys which would face the first presented army
3. The Team chooses one of those 2 opponent armys, which will play against the first presented own army
4. what happens with the armys left? Every team should have by now 2 armys left.
Thanks for helping me out^^

You roll a dice to chose.

Re: Tournoi par Equipes 6
François made a mistake concerning the pairing system we'll use, because it simply doesn't work.
To make it simple, we'll go the same way as in 2012, with only one minor change.
Dice roll, highest decide who goes first.
The team which lost throw someone, the other respond with two armies, opponent is chosen.
The ther team repeats the same process.
The two armies which have not been chosen in the process play against each other.
The two remaining armies play against each other.

Re: Tournoi par Equipes 6
Xavier this doesn't have sense. At ETC we'll throw armies at the same time of the opponent team, so I'd say that if we do the same thing is better.
A and B chose an army.
A,B chose 2 armies.
A,B chose the opponent of the first player thrown.
2 armies left on each side, you simply roll a dice to chose the matches.
If you want to change there is no problem to me but, as we want to train for the etc (even if there will be just 4 players) in my opinion is better to do things in the same way.
Rolling a dice to chose which team go first would give a big advantage to one that wins (especially with 4 pairings to do).
Imho.

My bad, it's only a mistake, of course the two teams send an army at the same time

Perfect
About the last match, do you want to pair together the 2 unchosen armies and the 2 unthrown armies or we'll roll a dice?

Re: Tournoi par Equipes 6
I suppose Xavier already answered this:
The two armies which have not been chosen in the process play against each other.
The two remaining armies play against each other.

Re: Tournoi par Equipes 6
Yeah, but this is not the same as ETC and as it will be a training tournament for the Swiss-team it would be better to copy them.
In this case maybe we will also be able to test the Dim's program.

I would prefer this system. As absolut noob in teamtournaments this system sounds more interessting for parrings and gives it more weight, then when you need to roll a dice to say, which of the last armys play against each other.
But thats just my opinion as a noob^^

Re: Tournoi par Equipes 6
Just for clarification:
The first draft for the 2013 ETC restrictions is out. Even though there will be changes, it is already an indication what we will have to expect.
Now the question is, if we will use this draft (probably with some adjustments for more unlikely changes) or if we will use the old 2012 ETC rules?
And if we use the 2012 ETC rules - what about FAQs and new armybooks (WoC) that will have arrived since then?
Thanks in advance

Re: Tournoi par Equipes 6
Yeah, I would also be glad to know, how the (final?) draft will look like for the Teamtournament.
Since atm there are 18 Teams interessted in the tournament, but the memberlimit would be 16 Teams, I would be glad if I could send our armylists in to get a slot for our team^^
I allready did the payment + we booked/payed a hotel for the stayover from the 02.-03. March...
So... any new informations?
Thx for your work!
Kind regards

The comp is definitive, there won't be other change, so feel free to send your armylists anytime you want
Re: Tournoi par Equipes 6
But what about the annopuncement regarding the WoC book - also no changes to this?

@xavier
Sorry, I'm a bit tirrerd, so excuse my dumb question
The comp on T3 is the one, you will use, so no changes to this one:

Re: Tournoi par Equipes 6
Don't worry, the number of team will rise up to 18!
For WoC, no special restrictions, but peraps we ask to correct the list after deadline (without penalties of course).

Re: Tournoi par Equipes 6
Core Chaos chariots, Marauder Horsemen, Warhounds are each 0-3
Hell Cannon 0-1
Skullcrushers max 6 models.
Talisman of Preservation/Armour of Destiny/Third eye of Tzeentch, max 1 on same model.
A Daemon Prince model can have max 2 of Scaly skin/Soul feeder/Chaos armour/Mark of Nurgle
Flyers max 4, models with the regenerating flesh upgrade count as 2.
The draft for the WoC is out, and as nobody has sent any list so far (except us!) we could use that
Re: Tournoi par Equipes 6
Sorry, but this is seriously overcomped and if all other armies do not fall under new and mostly harsher restrictions for the better ABs, why should WoC?

As write, we'll refuse the WoC lists if necessary (inspired by the new draft).

Re: Tournoi par Equipes 6
Well, just to be sure - does that mean, the rules proposed by Xavier are in effect or not?
And just to construct an example case - suppose I send in a list that you refuse. How many new lists can we send in until you are satisfied? Do new lists have to be the same army as the first one?
I could come up with a stupid amount of similar questions but I suppose you already get my point.
In essence you have taken WoC out of the competetive part of the tournament, which is fair enough as you are the orga.
Nonetheless, from a player perspective, this is very disappointing, especially as all the other armies do not get these heavy comps of the new draft and even the proposed draft goes far further than for other armies - e.g. WoC only get 6 MC vs 8 MC for all other, or the flyer restriction is nowhere near as strict as for WoC.

I would say, there's nothing disappointing in that. Every team receives the same treatment and nobody put a gun on anyone's head to force him to play the "overcomped" WoC
We play armies we like to play, otherwise everybody would have the same 4 armies (did someone just say Vampire, Skaven, Dark Elves and Chaos Dwarves?)
If someone wants to play WoC, I think those restrictions still allow him to build a nice list and have fun during the tournament (and perhaps even win some games)
On the other hand, if he thinks restrictions are too harsch for him, he can still play something else.
I nevertheless agree with Buchi on the fact it's better to make things clear for Chaos, imho.
Re: Tournoi par Equipes 6
I do not want to sound cocky, but you are missing some points and make some rather harsh assumptions.
When you say that nobody is forced to play WoC, then you obviously assume that everyone owning a WoC army has at least one other army, that mets the same standards (army strength, painting, basing, experience with the army etc).
If not, well, then ofc you are still not forced to play WoC - you can for example stay home. But obviously that was not what you meant, I suppose.
But if you still play WoC then you and your team do so at a deliberate disadvantage, as even you seem to agree by your rather ironical comment about "probably winning some games". And this disadvantage is simply created by a comp chosen by the orga, which imo you should be responsible for creating an environment where everyone could start on the same basis.
I would suggest then to at least allow to play the old WoC book with the old restrictions, so that this disadvantage can be negated, if the player so choses.

Re: Tournoi par Equipes 6
You assumed totally correctly what I said.
And I even found a solution!
If really a player thinks he cannot play with his Chaos because they are overcomped, I think I can lend him a Woodelves army so he can still come over and fight with fair chances as everyone else using the comp of last year
(all interested players may contact me via PM)
