IMPORTANT: Training in Paris

Hi !

I've started to plan a possible training day against Team France.
I've had a talk with their spokeperson, and they are very interested.

If it were to take place, in would be held in Paris (Paaaaris!)

What I had in mind was:

Friday:
Leave in the evening and arrive in Paris Gare de Lyon.
The venue is 10min away, so we have time for a game.

Saturday:
Three games during the day and then go out for a drink with the people of Team France

Sunday:
For those willing to stay, we can have a day city-trip in Paris. Others can always leave on saturday night.


The accomodation:
I've asked if they could provide us with rooms to put our matraces and sleeping bags.
He's going to ask his team mates and there will be probably possbility to do so.
Otherwise, there's a cheap hotel by the venue (20-25 euros per night and per person he said)

The transport to Paris costs CHF 130.- for a return journey, lasting approximately 3 hours from Geneva.
So that would be close to the price of a normal tournament, and the possibility to visit Paris as well

Date:
I was thinking about the weekend of the 17-19th of may, which is not too close from the exams and not during a long weekend, which would cause prices to raise quite a bit. But I'm open to all suggestion.


That would be really great if most of you could come.
1) We could test our armylists and metagame against a top team
2) We could really see if Dim's program works well

The only thing i need for further test is that you tell me what i propably will play aggressiv or devensiv.

We seem to agree on the weekend of the 24-25th of may in the end.
It still needs a last confirmation from them, as well as how many people they can host.

Once it's decided for sure, we'll be able to book the TGV.

We'll probably leave Lausanne at either 15h45 or 16h45 (15h45 would be the best)
And I was thinking to leave Paris at 18h on sunday (we arrive in Geneva at 21h25)
But of course for the return, everybody can have his own planning

But I'm not sure, if I could join the other weekend. So don't take care of me and Thomas can have my spot, if he wants to

I'll have to check as during that time we have auditors and I would try and take friday and monday off, if we would go. So it will take some time from my side to decide.

Not yet, I still need a last confirmation that the venue is available.

And I negociated a bit, because they're not sure to be able to host all of us (maybe a few only)

But, they agreed to pay half of our hotel rooms, which would be then roughly 30 euros pp for two nights (so 15 euros per night)

I just need a confirmation that those people are indeed available for the weekend:

Sadly I cannot take this opportunity, as I will not get days off and it is too much trouble for just 2 days especially with a small child. Sorry guys.

Some news !

So, the venue is confirmed
We'll go there on friday evening, although since we're not playing on friday evening, we can always leave a little bit later if it's better for some of us.

We'll go for a drink or two in Paris on friday evening.
On saturday, three games from 8h30 until 21h30 (with a lunch break)
Then saturday night fever ! (I'll ask a friend in Paris if he can show us some nice places to go out if need be)

On sunday, citytrip in Paris.
On sunday evening, come back to Switzerland, probably all sleeping in the train

Maybe I can book the TGV for all of us on saturday, but I need a confirmation for Paul and Christian.
You'll pay me back by bank transfer.

Pulp, you can contact me for friday evening, about which flight you're gonna take and at what time do you arrive (if you come from Vienna)
