UniversalBattle: Online-Training?

some weeks ago I was pointed to this site:

there it's possible to play online warhammer games. I never testet it, but maybe we could use this to test some lists?
Of course on the battlefield it's quite different.

If somebody is interested to give it a try, let me know (I would also like to try it) or post here a feedback.

Funny, few days ago I thought about the same, especially to play against you for sometimes^^

I'm allready registerd, but I have no paypal to get me the upgrade with the armys...
Maybe I can pay it with creditcard or so...

I know Alan and Pulp play quite often on this website, I've played a few games myself as well.

It works pretty well with Skype, but takes a little bit more time than a normal game I'd say (esp. at the beginning)

Actually for the ETC2011 I almost only tested on it (with some greek mate), at the beginning is slow and hard, especially for "interesting" matches. After a few time it becomes faster (even faster than a normal match as you don't have to move to the room where you can play, deploy and move miniatures and put them back on the bag).



It's not bad at all in my opinion. And knowing the guy who wrote the program means that I have a free account

As some have tested it - can one play reasonably with the free account or do we have to get a pro account?

If the later is the case, we could put some money together as a community and buy some shared accounts, probably?

I think buying a premium account costs you a ridiculously small amount of money (I paid 5 bucks for 3 months, or something like this)

Without the premium version, you'll have to play a lot of proxys, since you won't have access to all the armies (just basic stuff like humans, elves or orcs)

Moreover, the premium version allows you to save the game, which is sometimes critical when ones has to leave for a while and cannot let his computer on.

But ofc shared account would be a great idea (maybe 2-3 people per account is a fair number)

Ok, cost seems very reasonable, but could have been much worse, hence my suggestion.

I think, I will give it a try as well sometimes.

You can also play with the free account without too many problems, you just need to take one basic army (normally lizards is used as they have every kind of base you need) and to modify the name of every unit to be sure that your opponent knows what he is facing.

Loocks interesting... but how can i measure the distance?

And it loocks realy not that easy to move everything XD (im just training a bit, what i can with this^^).

In tools, you have tapes and measure sticks

Actually, the program just provides you with a table, models and all the usual tools you need, then you play the way you want

And how can i Write next to the Unit, which unit it is? Because i cant use the real ones and if everything is proxed, its hard

When you create the unit you have to select models, dimension and options such musician, champion and banner. On the bottom right of the pannel there is the name of the models you selected, you can just modify it.

I'll be happy to show how it works, and play a couple of matches.

You don't have to pay anything if you prox your models with the existing ones, at least for me is not a problem and it works pretty well.
