SWISS TEAM 2013
Hi everybody !
Here is the time, finally.
The council constitued of Buchi, Alan and myself has made up its mind concerning the 10 players that have been selected to participate to the ETC 2013. The selection has been made upon the criterion of playing skill, participation in the ETC process, ability to perform under pressure and experience of the last ETCs.
I said 10 players, because from this list will be picked up the 8 players, the coach who will come with us, and an additional player who will be there in case somebody eventually cannot attend the event.
So yes, unfortunately one of the player will be still left aside, depending on which comp we'll have and which armies we will choose. And this is still yet to be decided.
Anyway, no more talk, here is the list:
I will contact personally each of these players.
I will also start soon to organize transport and hotel issues, as well as thing like t-shirt and stuff (and get those stupid dices on which I can't get a grasp ^^)
Congratulations to the winner, and a great thanks to everybody who has made effort in order to help make this selection possible.
Great thanks to the organizers of the training days and tournaments, and to those who have attended to them.
However the adventure doesn't end here. It's only the beginning, and we still have much to do if we want to perform the best at the event. And for that we need the help of everybody !

Re: SWISS TEAM 2013
Maybe you could indicate with which army (potentially more than one) each player has been selectionned?
As far as I can tell, I suppose I'm only able to play empire, for instance.
This would be a good starting point to build the team up, since we will have the core of the metagame.

Re: SWISS TEAM 2013
I would add Lizards to Pulps in case that they'll change A LOT the restrictions. At the moment they are not a Tier1 unfortunately.

Re: SWISS TEAM 2013
Hi guys,
I'm happy about you're choice, but unfortunately I have some "ungood" news.
Last week I accepted a new job-offer and I will start at 1. of july. I already asked there if it's possible to get free in august, but they couldn't tell yet.
So it seems that I have to wait until july to know if I would have time. Of course, that's too late for the team (I think at least ).
So I would say choose 8 of the other 9 players if you can't wait so long .
Hopefully I'll have time next year again. And of course I can help for the training, if need be.

That's "ungood" news indeed...
Come on Stefan, your are our one and only Skaven player
We'll work on a solution !
Re: SWISS TEAM 2013
I support the list made by Xavier - that is basically what we had in mind for our discussions so far. We could narrow the list down even further, but most is subject to the final draft and for some armies we have not yet reached agreement, even though that is also mainly due to the actual drafts that might well change.

Hey Guys
I really like the list with the players.
Thank you for you trust in the Pink Offensive
Maybe we should make a discuss about every army and the chances or needs to be played this year.
A ranking of armys we should take with us.

This will be done, but after the last and final draft is out, which should come relatively soon now
Re: SWISS TEAM 2013
I also agree. Once the players will be finally decided, you should take a look at the army composition: the pool player isn't large enough to do that at the same time.
I still need to find a "stage" in Zürich for next yer, which I hope will start in september and not before....I hope.
I'll tell you asap.
Anyway good job so far =P

Re: SWISS TEAM 2013
What do yoe mean by "finding a stage"? Do you perform or do you need a place to stay? If the later is the case, when and for how long?
As I live close to Zurich I might be of help...

Re: SWISS TEAM 2013
stage=praktikum...its maybe only a french/italian word, my bad.
anyway yes, I have to do at least 6 months of praktikum in architecture and I would like to do it in Zürich. Therefore I also need a place to live, and I would be glad for any kind of help

Re: SWISS TEAM 2013
I am afraid I cannot help with the practical experience but I might ask for a place to stay - but we can speak about that via PM. Let me know for which time you need the place and approximately what you can afford to pay and might ask around here...

Re: SWISS TEAM 2013
If you want you can add Ogers.
I never played them on a tourney but i play them from time to time in friendgames if this would be enough.

Re: SWISS TEAM 2013
Unfortunately I have to announce, that I'm not able to participate. I startet my new job this week and I don't see the possibility to make enough holiday in august. I hope to attend next year and wish you a lot of luck. For training matches I will be available.
So I think ElDorte will take my place

As i said in the other topic, its not possibke to go aswell.
Since my boss is an Asshole and cancelt my holydays in august "we do not have enough workers to cover your shift, so you have to work then"
Do you have a emergency player for WoC?

Re: SWISS TEAM 2013
Ok, I think Andy Geiser can play.
Don't worry, he his living at my house right now, so we can train together.
I will try to locate Xavier to verify he is ok with that.

Maybe we can ask Kris Leibundgut or Stefan Gmür to play WoC.
What do you think?

Re: SWISS TEAM 2013
Personally I don't know them so I have no opinion.
But I suppose it will be difficult for them to be in a french speaking team if they are alone (same problem as always) and their disponibility is still not known?
In all cases since lists will have to be sent in 9 days, we need an immediate backup.

Re: SWISS TEAM 2013
I have to say, it will be difficult to integrate a swiss german player that we don't know much of.
I'm in favour of Andy, better for the team Spirit and he sure can come.
Timing is short now, and I know he can train almost everyday and I trust his skills so imho it's the best choise we can have.
And on top of day, I'm sure he can play well this type of WoC army
